Have you heard about my new series?

My new Hearts in Carolina series starts off on January 4, 2018 with Steady! And, if you've been reading the Carolina Rebels series, it's with a character you're already familiar with: Logan (Sydney's stepbrother) from It's Our Time

Steady is a New Adult Romance.

Steady_Lindsay Paige

A chance meeting and a spontaneous marriage proposal leads Logan Archer on a first date that turns his dull, unhappy life around. With her help, he finally lands his dream job. But what Logan really wants is his dream girl to spend his time with.

He’s certain that girl is Kayla. He’ll do whatever is necessary to secure a future with her.

Kayla Murphy might be able to turn down Logan’s many proposals, but she can’t resist his charm, his many nicknames for her, or his ability to make her laugh when it’s the last thing she wants to do.

But unwanted distractions threaten what these two are building together.

Get it on Amazon | iBooks | Nook | Kobo

About the series: The novels will be set in North Carolina, loosely connected to one another, and can be read in any order. There will also be some crossover with my Carolina Rebels series on occasion, as seen with Steady.

Without a Doubt: Chapter Reveal

Last month, I shared the prologue and first chapter of my next New Adult Romance, Without a Doubt. Today, I added the second chapter for you to read. As I said before, every month from now until the release, I'm going to reveal a chapter from the book until you've read the first five chapters.

If you want to read the chapters before I post them on the blog, then you should sign up for my monthly newsletter because my subscribers get the link first.

Without further ado, here is the Prologue-Chapter Two of Emerson and Eva's story. Enjoy!

Emerson Montgomery loves his high school sweetheart, Kelly Price. He'd do anything for her, including agreeing to a break where they'll see other people as he heads off to college. Struggling with the break and guilt over dating other people, Emerson meets Eva, a beautiful, funny, easygoing, and nosey junior.

Eva Harvey chose this particular college with the hopes of fulfilling her own fairytale and falling in love at the same college where her parents met. She does her best to go with the flow and simply see what happens, but Emerson simultaneously causes her to fall in love while making her second guess everything along the way.

There's some things you know without a doubt. However, Eva causes Emerson to doubt everything he believes about his future while he causes her to doubt what's right in front of her. Can they find a way to erase all doubts or will it tear them apart in the process?
Preorder Without a Doubt on iBooks, B&N, or Kobo, and add the book to your to-read shelf on Goodreads. WaD will be uploaded to Amazon later this month.

Without a Doubt, I'm Revealing This Chapter!

Oh, I think I'm having too much fun with the title of my next New Adult Romance, Without a Doubt. ;) Anyway, today, I'm sharing with you the prologue and first chapter of WaD. Every month from now until the release, I'm going to reveal a chapter from the book until you've read the first five chapters.

If you want to read the chapters before I post them on the blog, then you should sign up for my monthly newsletter because my subscribers get the link first.

Penned Con Preorder Forms!

Hey, y'all! Penned Con is not too far away now. Mary and I both are signing and we can't wait to go! Plus, I'm bringing my mom as my assistant. That was so much fun at a signing I attended last year that I have to drag her along again. :)

Anyway, we've decided to take preorders for the event. This will ensure that you get the books you want. Plus, this is how you can get some pretty cool swag.

Most of the information you'll need is in the form itself. What's not on the form is this:

You can only preorder books during the month of May.

This is because of the bundle options. If you want to buy all the books in a series, we're going to give you swag just for bundling. We're ordering that swag based on the preorders and we won't have many extras of those swag items on hand (if any). So, if you absolutely want the swag that comes from buying all the books in a series, then you need to preorder.

Because of how many books we have individually and together, there is a form for my solo books and a form for the books written with Mary.

Nepenthe Cover, Preorder, & First Chapter!

Here it is! The cover for Nepenthe (Bracing for Love, #2)! I'm SO excited about Corey's book and I hope you are too! I'm in love with this cover. I can't wait to get my hands on a paperback and the swag I've ordered!

In case you don't remember, here's what Nepenthe will be about:
Corey Kennedy was once a star on the football team at Salem University with his two younger brothers, Jonathan and Patrick. He lived and breathed football, hoping to follow his father’s dream to make it in the NFL. His chance was stolen from him when he was injured and his future in the sport ended.

As did his long-time method of coping with depression, a battle only he knows about and one he refuses to acknowledge.
A year after moving an hour away from his siblings, Corey hits rock bottom. His life is falling apart piece by piece. He’s too lost in his mind to see a way out. Slowly, with the the help of Olivia, a pushy new neighbor, Corey begins to learn healthier ways of dealing with the problems in his life.
His ground is already shaky and unstable while he struggles to stand on his own two feet again. He must find the strength to withstand what life throws at him, or crumble and fall back into his bad, unhealthy habits, which could end the relationships Corey very much needs.

Make sure you add it to your Goodreads. You can also read the first chapter here. Nepenthe releases January 24, 2015, but it's available for preorder on Amazon, B&NiBooks, and Kobo right now!

And don't forget that if you sign up for my monthly newsletter before January 1st, then you'll be joining my lucky subscribers as they'll exclusively be able to read the second chapter and have the first chance to win an ebook! Learn more perks and sign up here.

Bracing the Blue Line - Fun Fact 7

As promised, today's fun fact is about Grant. If you missed the first, second, third, fourthfifth, or sixth, go check them out!

Many of you know that I live in North Carolina. The second or third fun fact said that part of Grant and Lucy's story was written before any of the others and that I wanted to start with their names first, then think of a story.

Well, Lucy's last name (Kennedy) just seemed natural. It flowed and I was in love with it immediately. I was already imagining the different personality traits she could have, and what her background might be, and why Grant was going to start doing those small favors for her.

Grant's last name honestly happened by accident almost. I went out with an old friend and drove by that town. I tested it in my head and then spoke it out loud and then boom. Grant had a last name.

Tomorrow's fun fact will be about Neil, so be sure to check back tomorrow and continue following the BtBL Pinterest board for daily teasers.

You can add Bracing the Blue Line to your to-read shelf and enter a giveaway on Goodreads. Don't forget to pre-order it for the special price of $2.99 on Amazon, iBooks, B&N, or Kobo. We're only a couple days away from the big day!

Bracing the Blue Line - Fun Fact 6

The next few fun facts are the behind-the-scenes type. We'll be talking more about the names of my characters and where they came from. If you missed the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth, go check them out!

All you really know at this point is this: Captain Neil Lawson wants to run for the hills when a one night stand shows up on his doorstep, pregnant with his baby. His past haunts him before fueling him into being a part of this girl and this baby’s lives, but it won’t be that easy.

Regardless of what happens, the baby needed a name. If you watch the TODAY show, particularly Kathie Lee and Hoda, then you know they have a feature called Johnson & Johnson's Baby of the Week. (Or something like that.) Anyway, I was watching one morning, knowing that baby needed a name, and then I heard it.

The perfect name.

And that's how I found it! Names are important, but scouring baby name sites just wasn't working for what I was searching for. I didn't know what that name was until I heard it in the segment.

Check back tomorrow for another BtBL Fun Fact, this time about Grant! Be sure to continue following the BtBL Pinterest board for daily teasers.

Bracing the Blue Line - Fun Fact 5

I love this fun fact, but if you missed the first, second, third, or fourth fun fact, go check them out first. My sister probably won't like this one, but she should watch what she says! This is proof that what you say around me might be used in a book. ;)

Okay, this obviously needs an explanation. My sister sometimes says, “I love you like a back alley hooker loves crack.” There’s a particular instance when I was trying to think of an analogy and somehow, I ended up comparing a “back alley hooker” with a queen. It’s a really bad analogy, says so in the book, but I used it anyway because it always made me smile and think of my sister.

There's one more week to go until release! Check back tomorrow for another BtBL Fun Fact! Be sure to continue following the BtBL Pinterest board for daily teasers.

What's in the Swag Pack?

Yesterday, I posted on Facebook that I might share what will be in the Bracing the Blue Line swag pack. And I nearly forgot to post it today!

So, why am I sharing what's in the swag pack? Because I'm evil and I want you to see it now, even though you won't get a chance to win one until release day. Plus, I'm way too excited to keep this to myself.

So, here it is!

There's a BtBL t-shirt. That's the front and the back has the cover and my blog link.

We have the paperback and bookmark, of course.

The remaining three items tie in to each character.

That black, round thing? It's a hockey puck-shaped stress ball and that's for Neil. It says, "Pace the room with Neil Lawson" because he's a pacer when he's stressed. And Neil has a lot to be stressed about! If you aren't sure why, let me refer to this line in the blurb: "Captain Neil Lawson wants to run for the hills when a one night stand shows up on his doorstep, pregnant with his baby. "

Below that is a library card and card pocket. That's for Grant for two reasons. 1. He loves to read. 2. He's in the library quite often, which is one place where Lucy keeps finding him.

To the left is a retro popcorn box and a bag of popcorn tied together with a movie night ribbon. That's for Winston. All I can really say is that he and Maddie start watching movies together when she's missing home.

So, there you have it! As I said, the first chance to win one of these is via the Release Day Email through my monthly newsletter. If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so here. Be sure to say YES to wanting to receive the email on release days and you'll automatically be entered to win a swag pack!

Bracing the Blue Line is available for preorder on AmazonKoboB&N, or iBooks for the special price of $2.99! Be sure to add it to your to-read shelf on Goodreads as well!
