tennessee valley author event

My very first signing was a blast! I loved it, had so much fun, and can't wait until the next one. It was so great to meet everyone. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my and Mary's table.

To be a writer, I sure do feel like I don't know what to say. Maybe I'll think of something better later. For now, let me share some pictures and a list of what I learned, in no particular order.

- Readers are even nicer and sweeter in person. I want to meet everyone!

- Hockey fans are awesome. I met some Wild fans, Penguins fans, and Chicago fans.
- Hearing people come up to me and say, "Bubbles," made me way too happy.

- Knoxville has a humongous Wal-Mart.
- I'm a bit of a stalker. (See picture on the right of Amy and Rick Miles. I took that from my table, just because.)
-While we're talking about them, Amy and Rick Miles are super nice and both are hilarious. The entire Miles family is simply adorable.

- My mom is a stalker too. She was sneaky when taking some pictures of the models.

- My mom having to wear a badge that says, "Assistant to Lindsay Paige" was so much fun!

- I love Mary Smith so much. One of these days, we will live next door to one another.
- I will never think of Georgia without thinking of Mary. She, Bailey, and my mom know what I'm talking about.
- Mary is a total wimp to pain. I learned this when we got our tattoos. She's still amazing, though.
- Bailey Ardisone is so sweet.
- Mary and Bailey together is a ridiculous combo of niceness and awesomeness.
- Felicia Tatum cracks me up. She's too funny.
- Fran Veal is so nice.
- I'm really bad at recap posts. I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of stuff, but at least you have a glimpse of how things went. I can't wait until my next one, which will be in 2015. Keep an eye on the schedule for more info to be posted at a later date.

Thank you again to everyone I met for being awesome and nice and amazing and a whole bunch of other good adjectives. Thank you to Kathy who put together this amazing event and to all the readers for coming out and making my first signing a fantastic one. Until next time!

If you are attending the Tennessee Valley Author Event this Saturday in Knoxville, then I have a special surprise for you!

The first person to walk up to me and say the code word will be given a You Before Me swag pack. In case you don't remember, that includes all of these awesome You Before Me items: a signed paperback, a signed bookmark, a lip balm, a magnet, a Get Out of Jail Free card, a bath bomb, and a t-shirt!

All of it will be in a cute, little, convenient bag for the person who says the following code word to me first:

Code Word:

Not only because "bubbles" is an awesome word, but I think it's fitting considering all the bubble baths in this book. So there you have it! First person to come up to me at the event and say, "bubbles," will go home with a You Before Me swag pack! Write it down, pin it to your shirt, set up an event in your calendar with an email reminder, tattoo it on your hand, whatever you have to do to remember the code word! ;)

Or you could like me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter because I'll post a reminder there before the event as well. Good luck. :)

You, Me, and Tennessee! Will You Attend TN Valley Author Event?

Mary Smith and I will be attending the TN Valley Author Event on July 12th in Knoxville. There will be over 100 authors there! Holy cow, right?! It is bound to be a blast. It's going to be my first signing, and I can't wait! I'm personally excited to hang out with Mary as well as meeting Bailey Ardisone. Some other authors you may recognize that are listed to attend are E.K. Blair, Harper Sloan, and Erika Ashby. Y'all are going to want to be there with us!

Here are the details:
As I said, it's going to be held July 12, 2014 from 12-4 p.m. at The Grande Event Center in Knoxville, TN. It's free and open to the public, but if you plan on attending, you need to register.

After the event, a group of authors, myself and Mary included, are getting together from 6-9 p.m. for AuthorFEST. Learn who else will be there and how to purchase your ticket here.

Be sure to check out the site and learn more about the event and authors attending. You can even like TNVAE on Facebook or follow on Twitter!

I can't wait to see you there!
